Alexis Zepeda grew up in the border town of El Paso, Texas, excelling in school, as well as on the volleyball court. During her eight years as an athlete at the junior level, Zepeda earned awards which include All-State Academic Honors, All-City Second Team, Varsity Team Captain, Varsity Most Valuable Player, and qualified for the Girls Junior National Volleyball Championships. After concluding her volleyball career, Zepeda moved to San Antonio to start a new chapter of her life, off of the court.
Zepeda is currently a junior English major at St. Mary’s University, pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Visual Communication Design. Zepeda works on campus at the Louis J. Blume Library and is a staff writer for The Rattler student Newspaper. Writing for The Rattler has allowed Zepeda to publish her work, as well as gain experience in the field of journalism.
